Our customer is a global leader in Food & Beverage.
With WM planned for retirement, old legacy WMS to be replaced and more than 800 WH globally, EWM pilot project was a must win in order to ensure a future-proof WMS solution.
Client context and challenges
Two pilot sites: 1 big DC and 1 big MFG site
DC Go Live had major RF performance issues to be fixed
Standard RF transactions not fitting business needs
High visibility project strategically important for WMS roadmap
Business Unit politically strong, not following central Supply Chain function and best practices
Scope and approcach
Work in close collaboration with SAP for performance analysis and optimization
Setup PUT (performance unit tests) and VST (volume stress tests) to ensure performance will be acceptable at Go Live. Requirement: sub 1s performance for RF.
Provide clear and detailed weekly updates on implementation progress escalating whenever necessary
Redesign a selection of critical RF transaction to improve usability and process flow while maintaining most of the other transactions standard
Value delivered
Go Live on time with the requested quality confirmed by the business
PUT and VST successfully completed, only minor performance issues registered (sub 5sec response for few RF transactions)
RF transaction redesigned and delivered
Go Live support done on site ensuring business satisfaction
Supported as L3 AMS for the most difficult tickets resolution until fully transitioned to AMS
